Biography:
Denji, also known as Chainsaw Man, is the titular protagonist of the manga and anime series, Chainsaw Man. His first appearance is in Chainsaw Man Chapter 1, published in Weekly Shonen Jump.
Orphaned at a young age and burdened with his father's debt to the yakuza, Denji lives a poverty-stricken existence, working as a Devil Hunter alongside his Chainsaw Devil companion, Pochita. He undertakes dangerous jobs for the yakuza in order to repay his debt.
After being betrayed by the yakuza and left for dead, Denji merges with Pochita, gaining the ability to transform into Chainsaw Man. He is subsequently recruited by Makima into the Public Safety Devil Hunters, where he continues to hunt Devils and battles increasingly powerful foes.
